Friends
Sunsplash is a very friendly she-cat, so wouldn't it make sense for her to have several friends? Cats who are good friends with Sunsplash are likely to also be happy and friendly cats, and would also be okay with the fact that Sunsplash, as deputy, is quite a busy she-cat.
Enemies
Such a friendly cat surely wouldn't have enemies, right? Wrong, Being friendly sometimes rubs a cats fur the wrong way, so Sunsplash could have made enemies that way. Another way? The fact that she was named deputy, while another cat may have thought they were a better choice.
Relationship
Every cat deserves to find their special someone, right? I would agree, which is why Sunsplash having a relationship is something I am open to.

Mottlepaw is very energetic, and any friends she has are likely similar in that aspect. She is very loyal to her friends and will drag them along on all of her adventures.
Another cat in her life is going to be Mottlepaw's self proclaimed rival, someone she has decided to try and be better than at literally everything. This rival, has yet to be decided.
