palestar sat with her tail drawn neatly around her paws, her silhouette highlighted by the half moon that hung beautifully behind her. a starry figure appeared behind her, and a familiar scent filled the air surrounding them. without a turn of her head palestar knew who it was.
"mapletail, my sister." she purred softly, not daring to turn her head in fear of the deceased cat fading away into the night.
"i come with a warning, palestar." her voice was as smooth as palestar remembered, she could feel the brush of mapletails fur against her own as her sister sat by her side.
"nothing too horrible, i hope?" the leader responded softly, relishing in her sisters momentary return.
"the ocean with fall and water will run red." she mewed, mapletail slowly moving away from palestar as she stepped back.
"what does that mean? can't you tell me -" as her head turned she realised she was alone once more. the fur along her back lifted in fear, her blue eyes closing in anticipation for the warning to come true in that moment.
mottlecloud would return soon, and perhaps mapletails warning will become more obvious in their eyes.
the rivers with run dry, the food will die. riverclan will start a war with their neighbors for prey and land, they will become desperate enough to break the code and war will break loose in its wake. four clan will once again become two when they should become one as they struggle with the problems they have yet to face.
