NAME: palekit - palepaw - palenose
GENDER: female
AGE: 57 moons
CLAN: riverclan
POSITION: leader
SHORT DESCRIPTION: beautiful long haired tabby she-cat with stunningly blue eyes.
APPEARANCE:
a beautiful she-cat with long grey fur. her fur is soft to the touch and an unusually pale grey with barely visible tabby stripes along her body. her chest is painted a perfect white that runs along her chest down to her stomach. every paw is the same perfect white with pale pink paws that match her small nose. her colouring is simple and doesn't stray far from greys and whites, her stripes darken in colour around the tip of her tail only to be greatly contrasted by white. the stripes framing her eyes are paler than most excluding the single dark strip drawing from the edge of her eye toward her ears. Her ears are small and rounded with long white hairs sprouting from them with a pastel pink rim lining the skin on the inside of them.
Her build is slim, lithe, angular. Her face has an angular structure, in the light the shadows contour her face pleasantly beneath her cheekbones, and along her muzzle making her features appear longer and more defined than they actually are. Her beauty is easily recognized by those around her, but Palestar will never be aware at how pretty she actually is. She has a long slender body with long slim legs that appear to have little muscle build on them. She's a lean she-cat, not unhealthy, but thin, attributing to her elegance and beauty. She has fluffy white paws that disguise her freshly sharped claws, her paw pads and nose painted a soft pink colour which contrasts nicely with her white fur.
palestar has pale blue eyes similar to a clear, cloudless sky in the morning that's painted a soft pastel blue. Her iris is lined with a slightly darker shade of blue but as the colour moves in toward the pupil it becomes paler until it appears to be almost white. Her eyes are the only part of the cat that have a powerful pigment although paler than most blue eyed cats, palestars eyes add to her simple beauty quite nicely.
palestar as long rounded ears, and a long fluffy tail. The fur on her tail is much longer than it is on the rest of her body, it often trails along behind her as she walks often picking up dirt and matting easily. palestar likes to keep her fur and herself clean, if she didn't have pure white fur she wouldn't bother to clean herself so often but even the smallest speck of dirt shows up on her usually perfect coat.
PERSONALITY:
Palestar is intelligent, loyal, determined, ambitious, friendly, family orientated, territorial and kind. Some would suggest she is a soft leader, due to her dislike toward the aggressive tendencies of most cats in their, claw the enemies face off before talking to them. But although she is not of an aggressive nature Palestar is a powerful and brilliant leader to Riverclan. No cat within her clan could find it easy to doubt her and her abilities as a leader, and warrior of Riverclan. She finds it smart to have allies where she can but does not appreciate others on her land.
Palestar is territorial. If you're not of her clan and walk on Riverclan lands then you better prepare for a tongue lashing and unfriendly treatment. She won't hesitate to throw a rogue, loner or kittypet out of her lands if she feels they are of no use to her on her mission to make Riverclan great once more. She's not violent until after you speak with her, if a loner was to speak with her and refuse to leave she would meet them with her claws without second guessing herself. If you're trespassing you get one chance, she is not a cat to give those she doesn't know or like second chances. If you're an enemy, you'll be treated as such - her diplomacy doesn't last long. In a situation where she feels she is at threat, like most cats, she'll attack first and ask questions later ; guilty until proven innocent in times of trouble. She keeps her warriors in constant patrol to remind potential enemies and trespassers that Riverclan territory is owned. Palestar feels great disdain toward Thunderclan and their ownership of Sunningrocks and intends to take it back whenever she can.
The regal leader is incredibly intelligent, much more so than most other cats. She finds planning strategies easier than battling, her intellect being much greater than her physical prowess. It would take a mind as great as hers to beat her in that form, but in a physical form of battle, it wouldn't be too hard to beat her if her opponent was a talented warrior. She knows when to talk and when to fight, when to run from a battle and when to stay. Palestar is smart enough to know when she'll succeed and won't deny the current weakness of her clan due to its few warriors and thus won't challenge Thunderclan for Sunningrocks until she sees Riverclan as strong as it was before she was appointed leader. She has been a leader for a long time with only five lives left, each life lost with reason. Just because she has lives to spare doesn't mean she runs out without intentions of surviving.
From a young age Palestar had shown traits of determination and ambition. She gets what she wants when she wants with persistence and the ability to keep going and to keep trying even in the face of the word "no". From the moment she was kitted she was determined to lead Riverclan, she knew it was her destiny and even if it was - she was going to make it her destiny. She was ambitious, but not in a negative way. She trained hard as an apprentice, worked when her mentor told her to rest, she was to be the best of her clan, and with her unimpressive physical strength she felt the need to constantly train and practice to hone her skills - she still does. When she was appointed the name Palenose she was quick to receive her apprentice, and trained the young cat with unseen determination to prove that she could pass down all that she knew. Even when she was made Deputy, she still wasn't quite done in her ambition to be the best she could possibly be. Her determination aided her in her journey toward leader of Riverclan, it allowed her to fight through the pain in battles, to keep going when others would stop.
Like most cats, Palestar is friendly. She managed to keep her kit-like humor, finding joy in the simplest things such as befriend a cat of her clan. With the intense schedule of a leader she struggles to remain in touch with her clan mates, but when she does she'll only ever come off as kind and as a friend, even in gatherings , she's easy going and easy to talk to in neutral spaces. She finds amusement in teasing her friends and cats with the usual banter of an apprentice. Palestar gets excited to make others smile, to make them happy and to see the good in the world even in the darkest of times. She finds it easy to maintain friendships within her clan and is rather popular, others find it difficult to find fault in this friendly cat. Her sociable nature perhaps aids in her leniency in punishments to those who break the warrior code.
Since the grey she-cat was born she yearned for a family, a mate and kits, a cat to make her life full of joy. She treats every apprentice and kit as her own kit, you'll often find her at the nursery fawning over every new kit or playing with the kits of the clan - finding joy in their innocence and child like wonder in the world, their lack of understanding of the dangers of the life of a warrior. She put off finding a mate and having kits for many moons until she reached her goal of being the leader, now she waits patiently to find a tom cat that would truly sweep her off her paws.
HISTORY:
Born to Brackenstep and Dapplefur with two siblings; Maplekit and Stormkit. The three were adventurous kits, though Palekit was considerably less enthusiastic in their adventures than Maplekit and Stormkit. Stormkit was considered the "leader" of their litter, while Maplekit was the easily excited and most stereotypical kit of the little and Palekit was just a cat determined on obeying the warrior code and proving her loyalty even from a young age. But she also should a huge amount of loyalty to her kin, she'd do anything Stormkit or Maplekit asked her too. At four moons Stormkit led his sisters out of the camp to the nearest river with the intentions of catching their first fish to prove to their clan that they were more than capable to become apprentices before six moons! Though their short legs barely even touched the water. Palekits almost identical sister pounced into the water earnestly, trying to scoop up the fish until she realised the current was too strong for her and it began to pull her under. Both Stormkit and Palekit were frantic, Palekit coming up with the idea to get a big stick for Maplekit to grab, Stormkit being the biggest of the litter got the longer and biggest stick he could manage and thrust it into the water for Maplekit who grabbed with and attempted to pull herself along it. Palekit grabbed her scruff as soon as she could pulling her onto the soft grass as quickly as she could. Though Maplekits weight was a lot for Palekit to pull on, she almost slipped into the river herself. Soon after getting Maplekit back onto the bank with Stormkit and Palekit licking her fur against it's natural direction while their sister shivered beneath them, a hunting patrol found them and took them home. The three kits were punished for disobeying the warrior code and sneaking out of the camp, they were to be apprenticed a moon later than usual.
Palekit , Maplekit and Stormkit became apprentices' at seven moons. All three of them too big for the nursery and ready to serve their clan at long last. The three were like a dynamic trio in how they acted, constantly working together and learning skills they could use as a group. They were truly happy and their mentors were eager to encourage their team work. They first battle was against Thunderclan, the three of them fought against a warrior, beating him with difficulty until the tom ran off back into his own territory. It was only then did Palepaw, Maplepaw and Stormpaw realised they couldn't rely on their teamwork at all times, although they fought fiercely as a team, their skills alone were not enough to fight for their clan correctly. Palepaw took this seriously and began to distance herself from her siblings unintentionally and became more determined to improve her fighting skills with her mentor Thornfur, a skilled and fierce tom cat who taught her everything she now knows. She improved all of her skills quickly, and when she fought with her siblings a moon before their final assessment she realised how skilled and lucky she was to be apart of such a powerful family. She admired Stormpaw and Maplepaw for their amazing skills, and they her. She believed the three of them would be the best warriors Riverclan would ever see! Though this would not become reality for the small litter. Both Brackenstep and Dapplefur were incredibly proud of their kits and called the loudest at their warrior ceremony. The three were well liked by their clan so they received a warm welcoming as new warriors.
Palepaw became Palenose, Maplepaw because Mapletail, Stormkit became Stormclaw and they spent moons happy in the warriors den their dens pushed neatly against one another. Mapletail was determined to find Stormclaw a mate, Palenose knew her two siblings were incredible interested in having kits and starting families and Palenose was excited for them. Although not something she herself had ever been truly interested in, she was excited to become the annoying aunt that bothered them too much by stealing their kits away to teach hunting techniques to in the clans clearing. Mapletail would point out she-cats to Stormclaw who would just purr and shake his head as she enthusiastically tried to set him up. Often Palenose would find herself rolling her eyes and dashing off to hunt before they ever finished their little game of find Stormclaw a mate. It was Mapletail who found a mate first, though not in the way Palenose or Stormclaw ever expected. Their sister had fallen easily for a Windclan tomcat, Palenose was happy for her sister though upset she was breaking the warrior code and herself and Stormclaw attempted to stop her from continuing in something that would end up hurting both Windclan and Riverclan but Mapletail was determined to continue. When Mapletail realised she was having kits, she was delighted but it was only then did she realise she couldn't bare to have kits that would never live in the same clan as their father. So with the permission of their leader and sad farewells, she left Riverclan to join Windclan to be with her mate. Both Palenose and Stormclaw were devastated when she left. The pair felt so alone and mourned her as though she had died. A few moons after she left, they met Mapletail at a gathering. They had heard her kits had not survived the cold Leaf bare that had come and Mapletail had almost changed completely, she was never truly fond of living in Windclan and without her kits she had no reason or inspiration to be truly happy. Moons later she passed away from Greencough, both Palenose and Stormclaw were upset but the siblings knew their sister would probably be much happier in Starclan with her kits.
When Stormclaw lost his life, both of their parents were in the Elders den, proud of their only litter. He died fighting for his clan in a battle against rogues. Palenose was moments to late to save his life, though she took revenge on his killer sending him running with deep bites and scars the tabby she-cat wouldn't forget. It was Palenose who brought him back to camp and alongside her parents she cleaned his body of dried blood and pushed away the scent of death with mint. Palenose sat vigil that night, her eyes glancing upward toward Starclan. The cats she had been so close to were in those stars, and she was hopeful. She would see her siblings again when she passed away herself, though she was in no rush. She knew she was never truly alone and didn't become heartbroken after their deaths. She continued to be a strong warrior ready to protect her clan.
