the young tom watched in silence as everything changed around, he watched mintfeathers anger overflow into something that ended up changing starlingstars mind. his tail twitched anxiously as he made his offer, tigerpaw was half tempted to remark on the generosity of the offer to indigo in an attempt to make her more interest in taking it. it was clear that starlingstar didn't want to bargain and yet, he watched as indigo made an idiotic decision.
"i accept. but i would like to ask that if my mate ever escapes from the twolegs and comes to find me, would you ever consider giving him the same chance as me? kittens need a father, and i'd hope that if it comes to be, that he may be the father they need."
tigerpaw almost closed his eyes as he winced, her words making him uncomfortable just from the sheer audacity to ask for more than she was offered in a difficult season for the clans. he wasn't surprised when starlingstar snapped, his voice escalating into almost a yell at certain points.
"go prepare a nest for her."
tigerpaw had to restrain himself from shrinking away and flattening his ears in fear and discomfort. but instead, tigerpaw offered a nod with a lingering glance tossed at indigo as he turned heel and began to run back to the camp to set up a nest for her in the nursery.
