Starlingstar
Starlingstar saw Mintfeather right away, her den was dark but unlike him that melted in the background she was more a ray of light in the darkness. He watched as she turned around and her green eyes landed on him, it was a shame cause he remembered giving her the warrior name Mintfeather. She was also a very good warrior but even so she also a good medicine cat. Some might not even remember her accident or that she was trained as a warrior. He just looked at Gingerstep who seemed to be sleeping, he just looked up at the ceiling of the den and willed to Starclan, Brother please allow this one to heal so she may run with the wind once more He was able to get his prayer in before Mintfeather came back who seemed to have a store of herbs with her. He just nodded taking a glance once more at Gingerstep and followed the medicine cat out of the den. She had seemed to take a head start which Starlingstar was fine with but he was feeling quite stiff today as well.
He flicked his tail at Tigerpaw which he was still not happy with but he know now will probably rethink about the warrior code before doing anymore actions. He just grumbled and said, "Let's go Tigerpaw" Then he just waited for the medicine cat and the apprentice to head out of camp. He just flicked his yellow gaze around camp to check, before making his way out on the grass hills. He wondered how this she-cat ended up here, and if she knew stories about the clan cats. If one was smart they would stay away from the clans. He just wondered why they would come here, there was protection in numbers but he didn't want any of his numbers to suffer because of this she-cat thinking they could waltz in a just be with the clan.

tigerpaw was already shrinking before the leaders gaze, even before he spoke. his word harsh and all tigerpaw could think of was how he knew the warrior code like the back of his paw. but starlingstar was being cruel; daring to call the loner an 'it', his ears flattened at the harsh words. the sweet tom couldn't imagine being cruel to any cat without good reason, indigo and her kits needn't be harmed in this situation. if they could help, they should, his mind began to wonder if starlingstar lacked morals or if he just feared for his clan in windclan. tigerpaw understood his anger but he could feel the disappointment in himself as he dropped his eyes to the ground as he was scolded.
"you feed the loner? don't you know the warrior code, i don't care if they were starving think about your own clanmates!"
tigerpaw dipped his head and stepped back. starlingstar was fetching mintfeather; the sweet medicine cat who would surely understand what he felt. her couldn't imagine her turning away a queen in need in the cold moons to come. tigerpaw walked to the camp entrance without hesitation, determined to follow his leaders orders. he dipped his head to the grey cat, taking off alongside her when starlingstar joined them. catching up to the she-cat who had taken a head start he walked beside her and lead her in the direction.
"mintfeather, she needs our help, please do everything you can." he mewed softly, his voice earnest; he was in trouble. he couldn't fight for loner to be helped. not only was he in trouble, but he was just an apprentice that nobody even remembered. with his tail held under him he padded along.
as they neared the border, his ears perked at the sight of reddawn and indigo sitting there in silence. they were silent and still like leaf bare had frozen them there, it looked as though nothing had changed since he left. as though they just stood and stared at each other. looking back at starlingstar briefly, not daring to meet his eyes but assuring himself the leader was still there. tigerpaw moved forward quickly to reddawn. his eyes full of sympathy as he looked at indigo, knowing she would more than likely be sent off. tigerpaw was not afraid to apologise to reddawn for his reaction, he had acted in a way so unlike him to defend another who he had never met. it was, strange. he never felt he had a generous streak like that before where he'd go as far to defend a loners rights.
"reddawn, i need to apologise to you." he began softly. "you were right, after speaking to starlingstar, i realise you were only following the warrior code and i hope you can accept my apology." he mewed softly with a respectful dip of his head to the older warrior. he looked up to mintfeather and starlingstar before meeting indigos eyes with a reassuring nod.
"this is mintfeather, and starlingstar." he gestured to them with a dip of his head, his voice still soft and timid. "and starlingstar, mintfeather, this is indigo." he only met mintfeathers eyes as he spoke before turning to look back at indigo.

Reddawn fell into silence after that very quick conversation with the loner. Anything else he has to say would be repeating himself and to be honest, with this loners one tract mind, Reddawn will probably snap at her soon enough. all he can hope for is that Starlingstar will see his side and drive her out of the territory. They don't need cats who take up their resources and then expect to leave without doing their share to help out. As soon as he feels the pounding of paws on the ground from his clanmates, he flicks his ears backwards to listens more but he doesn't really take his eyes off the loner. When Tigerpaw starts to speak to him that's when he looks down at the younger apprentice. With Starlingstar here to watch the loner for a moment he can take his eyes off the threat, even if she isn't much of one yet. "I'll accept your apology on the condition that you have learned from you mistake and that you will follow the warrior code and not put another loner or different clan cat before your own." Reddawn sees no reason to accept an apology from the apprentice if he hasn't learned from his mistake. If he will only do this again, then the apology means nothing to him, but it will still take time for Reddawn to see that Tigerpaw will be a loyal clan cat. Tags: Minteh Freshness Edda Rose Kuwaki

Mintfeather Already her muscles and bones were hurting and she knew she was limping a lot more than she normally would have been. Perhaps when they got back to camp, she would have to take something, even though she didn't want to diminish her stores just for herself. It was always a dilemma for her, always a fight that raged inside of her. Because what if she took too much of something and there wasn't enough for a cat who really needed it at the time.
Mintfeather shook her head slightly to clear her mind. She needed to focus on the task ahead. Tigerpaw slid up beside her to show her the way and she glanced at him when he started to speak to her in low tones. "mintfeather, she needs our help, please do everything you can." She couldn't really reply, what with carrying the herbs and panting already, but she gave him a small nod to show she had heard and had taken his words into consideration. Not many cats would help care for a loner, even a pregnant one, especially if those cats weren't a medicine cat. It wasn't in their warrior code. In fact, they were supposed to run them off, so Mintfeather felt slightly confused at why Tigerpaw wanted her to help the loner, though she did feel a bit proud. At least he was trying to do the kind thing and help out another cat.
When two shapes came into view, she didn't really notice anything wrong with either of them. Reddawn was siting, watching the she-cat and the she-cat was laying down, facing Reddawn. She looked plump and was obviously pregnant, but when she got closer and she was able to take in more details, her heart ached for the queen. Even with her longer hair, Mintfeather could see that she she-cat was practically skin and bones other than her baby belly. Her silvery green eyes softened as she took in the she-cat. She looked so weak, as if she was just going to fall over and pass away that instant. As Tigerpaw spoke with Reddawn quietly, Mintfeather tuned them out as she limped up to the other she-cat.
It felt like it physically hurt to see the loner in such a state and within moments her mind was made up. She looked up at Tigerpaw as he introduced them to one another. "this is mintfeather, and starlingstar. and starlingstar, mintfeather, this is indigo." The young tabby tom only met her eyes and she was reminded of the words he had spoken to her earlier. She gave a slight nod to him before he turned his gaze to Indigo. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Indigo "this is mintfeather, and starlingstar. and starlingstar, mintfeather, this is indigo." The Siberian she-cat looked at the two cats who had padded up behind Tigerpaw. One was a tall, black tom who looked to be in charge. He must be Starlingstar, their leader. The other cat was an off-white, spotted she-cat that limped as she walked and was carrying a bundle in her jaws. She must be Mintfeather, but Indigo wasn't really sure why she was there. Was she one of the "warriors" she had heard about? "It is a pleasure to meet you both." She mewed, rising to a sitting position and dipped her head in respect. The scent of plants reached her nose as the other she-cat placed the bundle at her paws and unwrapped the leaf. "Eat these while I check you over." The bengal she-cat's voice was soft and melodic and kind, but had a slight determined edge to it.
Indigo looked down at the herbs in confusion, but she didn't want to be rude, so she slowly bent her head and lapped up the herbs. She couldn't help but grimace at the taste and then felt bad for making a face. They were bitter but within moments she was feeling stronger and not quite as hungry as before. It was a nice feeling. She jumped slightly when Mintfeather placed her paws on her belly. The calico point she-cat went to move away but stopped at the she-cat's words. "Please stay still." Indigo glanced between Mintfeather and Tigerpaw, wondering what to do. But she stayed still when she realized the she-cat was being gentle.
Indigo gave Tigerpaw a few glances, noticing he was different than before. Not quite outspoken and seemed to be more meek now. It confused her but she decided it might be better to focus more on the two that came with the young tom. The black tom was older than she had first noticed, and he didn't look to be in a good mood, so she decided it would be best to wait for him to speak first. It was the curtious thing to do.
Finally the she-cat named Mintfeather was done and stepped back. Indigo glanced at her, wondering how she was so important that she was brought along. And why she had been looking Indigo over. Starlingstar Starlingstar let the apprentice lead the way to the border, he knew that it would be an interesting day. He just shook his head and feel into step with Mintfeather she was a bit slower she was probably still feeling the travel from getting Gingerstep only a few sunrises ago. Just in that time the winds had changed dramatically there was now a cold breeze that was on the wind and Starlingstar remembered that he used to not feel it as much. But this leafbare he was feeling the cold sink in pass his short pelt. It was a really awakening that he was getting up there in age. Even at gatherings the cats that were bellow he couldn't find any faces that knew him from his youth only a few. The one that Smalltail clawed the other day was one of them. He just was glad he didn't have to rush. Reddawn was a good warrior and wouldn't let this loner get any farther into Windclan's territory. He could rely on the ginger tom and he was glad that the tom was going to be filling in for Smalltail while she was punished. He was ready to sort this out.
As they approached the border Starlingstar tasted the air, it had the smell of an outsider. He just narrowed his eyes, coming closer he held his head high. He was quite a tall tom and would be known he was a strong leader of Windclan and he wasn't about to let anyone push him around. The only one her now that would fight against him was Mintfeather. He glanced down at the medicine cat almost thinking maybe it wasn't a good idea bringing her along. But he wasn't cruel he would have Mintfeather at least check the loner for wounds and give it something just in case before the took it back to the border and let it be on its way knowing that coming here they wouldn't be so kind.
Arriving at the scene he noticed that Reddawn was sitting there waiting for them and he stopped a tail length in front of the loner. His pale yellow eyes locked on to the she-cats frame, Starlingstar never had a mate himself and never had kits of his own. He was too busy always worrying about the clan to deal with that stuff. He was a tom but he knew that this loner was carrying kits. He just then heard Tigerpaw give an apology to the warrior and Starlingstar decided then and there to not punished the apprentice any further because he had seemed to learn his lesson. He watched as the young tom gave out the introductions and the loner dipped her head to himself.
He didn't even signal he let Mintfeather check out the loner. He notice and recognized some of the herbs that she had placed down. They were strengthening herbs. Which she would need to get back to where ever she came from. She also did have something to eat thanks to the apprentice. Starlingstar did notice that she was skinny though, but he didn't care. She could be carrying a sickness that could kill the elders and other warriors and even Gingerstep back at camp. He didn't want to risk any of the few warriors he had.
"Why have you come?" The toms voice was serious as he waited for the she-cat to answer. Though he already knew he wasn't gonna like the reason that came out of her mouth.

Indigo When the she-cat named Mintfeather backed away from Indigo, the black tom finally spoke. "Why have you come?" His tone was serious and she flicked her ears back, though other than that she showed no sign of flinching under his gaze. She dipped her head again before lifting her river blue eyes to his yellow ones. "I have come in hopes that you might grant me shelter during leafbare until I can care for my kits myself." She started. Her whiskers twitched as she remembered how the ginger tom had reacted to her words and this Starlingstar seemed to be similar to Reddawn. So she continued, hoping for her plight to at least reach his ears before he probably ran her off. "I know it's harder to hunt for prey during the cold season and you probably have many cats to feed already, but I can still help pull my weight until I get closer to kitting. I don't have many other options. My mate was taken by twolegs and I fear it will be a while before he is able to escape. And I had heard stories of you clan cats, of how you care for everyone, especially kits. I'm afraid if I try to ask for help from other loners, that they won't have the same principles. And I know you probably only care for your own cats, but I had hoped it would be worth the risk at least asking you all." Her whiskers twitched, feeling uncomfortable with the thought of not being allowed to stay. She took a deep breath and sighed. "Whether you allow me to stay or not, I will return any kindness shown to me no matter what." With that she glanced at Tigerpaw and gave him a smile that meant she was talking about the mouse he had given her and the kind words he had spoken to her as well. Her ears were pulled back slightly as she resigned herself to her fate, not wanting to hope for anything as it surely would be crushed. The stories she had heard as well as meeting these cats, she knew most of them probably were like that ginger tom, unwelcoming to outsiders. Which meant no matter how much she pleaded, she now doubted they would let her stay. ~~~ Mintfeather Mintfeather listened to the loner's words, feeling her heart ache for her. Phantom pains attacked her where her scars and wounds had been from that fated dog attack. She didn't think she could live with herself if another queen lost her kits before they were even born, especially if she could have helped them. With that in mind, she stood up straighter and turned determined eyes towards Starlingstar as she waited for his words. She would fully back his decision if he allowed this cat named Indigo to stay. But she would also fight if he decided to send her off. She had a bad feeling about the upcoming moons, what with not having nearly as much snow as they normally have, and yet the prey still seemed just as scarce as they were normal years. And with Gingerstep probably out for the entire time of leafbare if she healed correctly and didn't go against anything Mintfeather said, along with Smalltail being demoted to apprentice again for a while, they were short on warriors. And with no kits in the nursery at the time would definitely set them back. They could use this she-cat. And if she ever decided she liked clan-life and decided to raise her kits in the clan, it could greatly help, even if they weren't pure blooded clan cats. The snow bengal she-cat's whiskers twitched as she wished to speak, but knew it would be best to hear Starlingstar's decision first. Then she could go from there. It was a good thing she had a lot of patience. Words || 661 Ooc || Sorry it took so long. Tagged || Edda Rose

Starlingstar Starlingstar watched as the she-cat again dipped her head until she brought her blue eyes to match his pale yellow gaze. He didn't know what she wanted but then the words came out of her mouth and Starlingstar instantly growled emerged from his throat. He couldn't believe the nerve of this cat coming on to his territory and expecting his family to take them in. No it wasn't going to happen. He knew that he would have some arguing against him about this but he was the leader. Leafbare was hard for Windclan, the rabbits usually disappeared from the rolling hills and they were left with nothing expect a few birds every once and a while. He and most of his warriors would go starving this leafbare and he wasn't just gonna let someone that wasn't Windclan blood to take prey that they so much needed. At the chance that her kits might survive.
He just let her plea talking about how she would pull her weight. But by the looks of her she would be only slowing them down. She didn't have the strenght to catch anything or run fast enough to get the rabbits that were left on these hills. This was ridiculous. He did consider the kits she was carrying. Windclan's last litter was the one that Tigerpaw was a part of and the clan did need more warriors. But he knew that keeping kits alive during leafbare never worked. Other clans had trouble with that and his clan had it even more so. Thats when he said, "No." He didn't even look at his medicine cat he could feel her wanting to speak and he knew that she would be on his tail about this decision. But he had no choice. This she-cat needed to leave.

Indigo His words..., no, actually it was one word. One single word turned her hole world upside down. Indigo's ears flicked back in distress and she couldn't help but let her anxiety run rampant under her skin for a few moments. Where would she go? Should she try the other clans? Would they help her or would they send her off too? And if they didn't take her in, would she have to go to loners who had no code. Cats would could turn out to be rogues and they could kill her and her kits rather than help her. The thought of her kits dying without being able to help them made her fur stand on end. What was she going to do?!
Sucking in a quiet and deep breath, she worked on calming herself. She closed her blue eyes tightly, blocking everything out so she could focus on herself, on calming herself before her emotions truly got out of hand. It took a while but she finally felt her heart slow and her breathing even out and her fur lie flat. Her face hidden by a mask of respectful calm and peace before opening her eyes, resigned to her fate. Only to find the spotted off-white she-cat talking to the tall black tom, rather then all of them ready to chase her off of their territory.
Mintfeather No? No? Did he seriously just refuse to take in this poor she-cat? Her off-white, spotted fur prickled, but she made it lie flat once more. Getting upset wouldn't help this situation and it certainly wouldn't help her beat sense into her leader.
Mintfeather padded closer to Starlingstar, keeping her voice low, soft, and calm. Their clanmates didn't need to see them arguing, especially when they had no deputy at the moment, but the medicine cat felt she had to do this. "Starlingstar, perhaps you should think it over before sending her away instead of being impulsive." She sat down and curled her white and brown tail over her paws, gaze soft. "This she-cat can help with hunting until she gets closer to her kitting date. And if she likes clan life, she could stay and become a loyal member of Windclan, as well as her kits. And we may need the kits as there haven't been any litters in moons. There aren't even that many mates in the clan either."
Sighing, Mintfeather lifted her silvery green gaze to Starlingstar's pale yellow eyes. "And I don't think I have to remind you of the warrior code, but I'll do it anyway. 'No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit isn't from their clan.' Well, these unborn kits are in danger. And if we take her in they will have a better chance of survival."
She glanced back at Indigo, her gaze soft and pained as she looked at the starving queen. She shot a soft smile to her, though it seemed the loner was lost in her thoughts, and then brought her head around to face her friend once more. The medicine cat lifted her head in determination and gazed straight at the tall black tom before her, challenging him to see the good possibilities that could come from having this she-cat stay. Reddawn watches Mintfeather and the rogue she-cat interact. She may be pregnant, but she was still a theat and he wasn't going to turn his back on her. No, Reddawn would be ready for this she-cat to do something stupid and he would then draw blood if need be or if Starlingstar just ordered him to chase her out, he would. So he waits, waiting for Starlingstar to begin questioning her or chasing her out. As the rogue, loner she-cat, whatever she calls herself begins her story on why she should stay, Reddawn flicks his ears, bored with her already, but still vigilant. This she-cat wanted to stay with the clan, a free ride, knowing she wouldn't be of any help to hunt since she doesn't know the ways and she was getting big, plus its leaf-bare and prey was scarce as it was. He thinks she should go back to the twolegs where she belongs. He already voiced this too. As Starlingstar listened to the rogue, Reddawn had an idea that his answer would be like his own. He grew up under Starlingstar's leadership and has a good idea of his thoughts on things like this. So when his answer came out as a growl and then a sharp no, Reddawn gets to his paws so he is no longer sitting and waits for the order to push her out. He knows that Mintfeather will also have a problem with Starlingstar's answer, seeing as how she went straight to help the she-cat instead of waiting for the ok from their leader, plus the fact that her fur prickled for a moment. The rogue already told Reddawn that she wouldn't be keeping her kits here in the clan, that she would take them with her she could care for them herself and when or if her mate ever returned. He hopes that Starlingstar remembers the first rule of the warrior code, that the clan comes first no matter what or who as well as 13, the word of the clan leader if the warrior code. Starlingstar already said no. Reddawn will not hunt for this rogue if she is aloud to stay, she isn't clan, perhaps someone else would like to give up their meal for a rogue who wont go home to kitty pet life. He holds back a growl as he eyes harden towards Mintfeather for a moment before looking back at the rogue, his tail flicking in anger but he remains quiet. Tags: Minteh Freshness Edda Rose Kuwaki

Starlingstar Starlingstar noticed that Reddawn was now on his paws just waiting for the order from him to escort the she-cat off the territory. He was glad to have a warrior like Reddawn who seemed to understand his decision. That's when he saw the she-cat almost close up inside and he just said, "You said you didn't have many other options, but they are still options so I want you gone." Then he turned his gaze to the warrior Reddawn ready to give him an order to take this cat off their territory when his medicine cat spoke.
Starlingstar just flattened his ears now he was angry. He just looked at Mintfeather who seemed to be sitting. Like he wasn't thinking impulsively. He had his reasons and he didn't have to explain them but it would look like he would. She said something about this she-cat hunting, he just shook his head and said anger filled his voice, "Mintfeather are you evening seeing the same cat thats in front of me?! She can't hunt! She can barely stand and by the time my warriors, get her enough food to stand on her own then her kits will be too big and she won't be able to pull any weight! I am not making my warriors do something that will result in them starving this leafbare just because its a kind thing to do."
Then he just looked at Reddawn, he said "I am gonna have you -" Then he heard the sigh from his medicine cat then the words poured out of her mouth and he just whirled on her his teeth bared, they were more yellow with older age. "Don't you tell me about the warrior code Mintfeather! Have you forgotten that my word is the warrior code too. Or now that your a medicine cat all your warrior training left your brain!"

Mintfeather "Mintfeather are you evening seeing the same cat thats in front of me?! She can't hunt! She can barely stand and by the time my warriors, get her enough food to stand on her own then her kits will be too big and she won't be able to pull any weight! I am not making my warriors do something that will result in them starving this leafbare just because its a kind thing to do." Mintfeather knew he was right. It would take about three moons to get a cat this skinny back up to a healthier weight on a steady diet, and even longer when she has kittens to feed. But that didn't mean she couldn't help them out. Hunting and fighting weren't the only things the clans stood on and Mintfeather believed that most cats needed a reminder of that. Though she wouldn't do it right this moment.
Her fur prickled slightly at his words, not enough to be noticeable, but enough that it made her want to groom her fur to make it lie flat. "Don't you tell me about the warrior code Mintfeather! Have you forgotten that my word is the warrior code too. Or now that your a medicine cat all your warrior training left your brain!" The off-white spotted she-cat looked up at her old friend with patience.
"Perhaps you are right in that she wont be able to help with hunting for a while, but that doesn't mean she wont be helpful. I remember the warrior code just as well as the day I was taught it. I do know that your word is law, but I am a medicine cat now. There is no going back for me, no matter how much you throw in my face that I wish I could go back. But what you may have forgotten is that medicine cats such as myself follow a different set of rules. We have our own law, our own medicine cat code and at times it is equal to the warrior code, at times it is below it, but at times it is also above it and I am sure that this is one of those times." She spoke softly. There was pain in her voice at the mentioning of what she had lost but she didn't know if she would ever go back if she had the chance. She was proud to serve her clan in a way that most cats would never be able to.
With a slight smile upon her lips, she stood back up and started speaking once more, without letting her leader get a word in. "If you will not allow those of us here to escort this she-cat back to our camp, I feel I will have no choice but to help her outside of the borders. I will even hunt for her myself, or maybe I will just give her my share of prey. And if you truly want her gone, if you truly want to have nothing to do with her, I would be glad to go to the moonstone and speak with our ancestors. By myself, so as not to take any able warriors away from their duty of continuous hunting. And Starlingstar, no matter what our ancestors say, whether they agree with me or if they agree with you, I will help this she-cat at all costs."
Mintfeather glanced towards their hidden camp and spoke softly once more, a fondness for her home and the black tom shown through in her voice. "I know your job is to put Windclan first, but my job it to help any cat that needs me, whether they are from my own clan, another clan, or even outside of the clans. Nothing will ever change that dear." At that she brought her affectionate green eyes up to meet Starlingstar's yellow ones, awaiting to hear what he had to say next. After all this time, he had to know she was just as stubborn as him. Perhaps even more stubborn as she only showed this much when her patients didn't do as she told them to. Starlingstar Starlingstar just noticed that Mintfeather wasn't backing down and she went to explain about how all of this she was going to keep leaving camp. That was the last thing he wanted for the she-cat. He knew that she would leave to and he wasn't gonna have to waste a warrior to guard her. Plus he couldn't trap his medicine cat in the camp, he needed her to heal his warrior and to heal him if he were to get sick. Though he knew she wouldn't do that but with Mintfeather not having an apprentice with her being out and not eating like she threatened would make her sick and then all hope was lost. He knew that Windclan hadn't had kits in a long time and he did need more warriors they could be of good use but this she-cat he didn't like. A kit he could raise to believe that they were Windclan at blood and wouldn't know any difference but he didn't like the she-cat being in his clan. She had been with the twolegs for too long to really be a clan warrior. He growled and paced back and forth thinking about what he was going to do.
His mind was racing he needed to do what was best for his clan and he need keep Mintfeather around. Thats when he looked around at all the warriors around him. Tigerpaw seemed to find this cat and well he could hunt he would be in charge of her and all the food she received. Though it was leafbare and with the prey disappearing he would then make all the apprentice in charge of the food they get. That would work, between him and his sister Sandpaw they could do enough. Then he felt like he would want to keep the kits for the work they would be doing. But for Indigo, she would have to be reevaluated. When the prey is running smoothly. He knew what he was going to do he looked at Indigo saying, Here is you option. There will be no negotiating you take it or leave." He waited to see the cat agree to this before he made the judgement.
"Windclan will take you in. Only for a short time, Tigerpaw and the other apprentice will be in charge of your food. The only food you can receive is caught by our apprentices. After your kits and born and weaned, you must start to learn our ways and show us you can pull your own weight. The kits will be Windclan's and once they are six moons and get their mentors you will be evaluated. If you show signs that you can help out my clan I may let you stay but if I see that you are tainting my clan and can not help you will be chased off our territory and if you are seen back I will give my warriors the command to attack." Starlingstar didn't look at anyone else but Indigo. His yellow eyes were serious and he wasn't going to give her long to decide.

Indigo The tall black tom looked at Indigo and she moved her focus onto him, wanting to catch every word he uttered. "Here is you option. There will be no negotiating you take it or leave." When it seemed he was waiting for her to acknowledge his words before he continued, she nodded, agreeing. No matter what he said, it had to be different then a straight no.
When Starlingstar spoke of Tigerpaw and the other apprentices, her gaze flickered over to the young tom before she switched them back to the tom before her to continue listening. It seemed alright at first until she understood that if she was chased off of their territory after her evaluation, her kits would not be coming with her. Her stomach clenched and the tips of her fur started to stand as her anxiety from being abandoned again.
Indigo took a deep breath to calm herself and then her mind was moving a mile a minute. She'd already lost a litter, how could she loose another one? If Kyro came back what would he say to her becoming a clan cat with their kits, or worse, how would he feel to know they had lost another litter, but to the clans this time? If she was able to stay after everything, would he be able to join if he came back? So many more thoughts crossed her mind before she closed her eyes for a moment. Indigo opened her cobalt blue eyes and looked straight at the leader of Windclan, trying to straighten her posture the best she could despite how exhausted, hungry, and bony she was.
"I accept. But I would like to ask that if my mate ever escapes from the twolegs and comes to find me, would you ever consider giving him the same chance as me? Kittens need a father, and I'd hope that if it comes to be, that he may be the father they need." Indigo spoke, her voice calm. During her thoughts, she had started to push away her anxiety, her abandonment issues, and had settled back into the comfortable skin of the calm and collected cat she normally was. Her gaze flickered to the other felines, looking to see what their reactions were to what had been said.
Mintfeather Mintfeather sighed and relaxed her shoulders. What he had proposed seemed fair enough to her. And while she knew she wouldn't want her kittens to be taken away from her if she was in Indigo's paws and ended up being chased away, she had a feeling everything would work out.
As she waited to hear what her dear leader would have to say in answer to Indigo's question after accepting his terms, the spotted she-cat sat back down, her leg bothering her once more. Words || 472 Ooc || Yay! We're starting to wrap this up! Tagged || Edda Rose

Starlingstar Starlingstar waited for the the she-cat to let this sink in. The leader noticed that she was looking towards the apprentice and well he could see that Mintfeather wasn't saying anything. He knew that since she wasn't arguing that it meant that it was a good sign. At least she wasn't fighting back at him and he knew that Tigerpaw and Reddawn wouldn't say much to his final discussion. He just wondered how the rest of the clan would act. He knew that many of the Windclan cats would be okay with his choice he knew that some would revolt but they would get over it. Plus the leader's word was the code and he knew that judgement day would be harsh.
Thats when the she-cat cat agreed and well Starlingstar was about to order Tigerpaw to run ahead and get a bed in the nursery ready for the she-cat when she asked a question. He just glared at this she-cat. She agreed but then asked more of him and his clan. He padded straight up to her his claws unsheathed his yellowed teeth bared as he towered over the she-cat. "You come into my clan demanding help. So I give you food and shelter for you and your unborn kits. Then you ask for more. Do you realize that I could have torn your throat out right her killing you?' His voice boomed. He was furious. "NO! Consider this your first lesson Indigo, she-cats in the clans are not obligated to tell who the father of the kits are." Then he ordered Tigerpaw, "Go prepare a nest for her." Then he said, "The rest of us will travel with the Queen." Thats when he stepped aside and let Mintfeather and the she-cats lead the way towards the clan. He wanted to take the rear.
