Kuwaki
Eveninghawk glanced up at the mid-night sky sky, her blue eyes searching for a bird that may be landing. A bird had escaped her earlier in her hunt, so now she was obsessing over finding another bird. It was really just another excuse to avoid other cats, but she refused to think that. Other cats were ok. Not loud, obnoxious, or annoying in any way at all. She rolled her eyes. That would be a hard one to convince herself of. Sometimes she wished that she had someone to play with, a friend, but it just wouldn't be safe. She didn't want a friend, nor would she ever have another. She knew that a death of another close to her would be more than she could handle, so she closed herself off instead.
Her eyes wandered the horizon, spotting a dove landing not far away. She quietly dashed through the forest, smiling as the dove came into view. It was a nice juicy looking one and her mouth watered as she snuck forwards, her eyes never leaving the dove save for the few times she scanned for twigs or leaves. The dove sat against a rock, head down as it pecked at the ground. Eveninghawk snuck forwards further. It was under the rock in a way that would be hard to get, but also hard for it to fly away quickly. She thought for a moment before lashing out her paw with a powerful blow that hit its head pretty hard. She bent her head down and picked it up, putting it in the pile and covering the pile with dirt. She'd come back and get it later.
She froze for a moment, listening for prey in the area. Rather than prey she heard a larger animal moving through the forest. Someone else was in the forest. She sighed. She really had had trouble sleeping and having to interact with another cat on that fine night would probably result in her having more trouble when she got back to camp. She knew that asking would result in a certain interaction, but she was curious who else would be out at night so she asked anyways. "Who's there?" she called in a hushed voice, not wishing to scare any prey.
