ieroMistheart Sat at the entrance of camp, waiting for her apprentice to meet her. She figured they'd go to sandy hollow to train first, only for a little while if they needed to do a territory tour though. At sandy hollow she figured she would see what Foxpaw may have already picked up on over the moons. It wouldn't take long at all to ,, that stuff out, and then she would be able to teach her the fundemintals of hunting and fighting after a small tour. Maybe they would just start with a tour though. That would proobably be best. Mistheart sighed. She had no experiance with this sort of thing, but there was a first timme for everything. She glanced up at the sky, watching the sun slowly etch through the sky. Mistheart glanced up as Foxpaw finally caame out of the den. "Want food?" she asked quietly as she approached.

thunderclan ❀ foxpaw ❀ apprenticefoxpaw slid out of the apprentice den, having just taken a long nap, feeling more refreshed than ever. he was ready to start his first training session, his muscles practically shocking him from the amount of energy rushing through his veins. his green eyes were bright and awake, and landed on white she-cat in front of him. his eyes narrowed slightly. he wasn't very happy with the mentor he'd been assigned - he knew that she had been a kittypet. what kind of thunderclan born, pure-blooded cat like myself gets trained by a mere kittypet wearing fake fur and calling themselves a warrior? he thought distastefully, his nose wrinkling briefly. he shook his head, pushing the thoughts away. nevermind that. as long as she trains me correctly. she can't expect me to want to be her friend. this is purely business.
the reddish-brown tabby stopped in his tracks, staring at her face. "want food?" she'd asked, and he twitched his whiskers. "no," he said, shaking his head. "i'm not hungry. what are we going to start with today?" he demanded, scratching his claws at the soft earth in thunderclan camp. he was itching to start something fun, like battle or hunting training. he didn't want to explore the territory - that was something boring, and not fit for such an energetic, determined tom like himself.

Mistheart smiled. Good, strait to buisness. "That depends. I plan to start by reviewing what you know from the moons as a kit. Some techniques you may have worked out from games. Then we'll do a quick tour, just reviewing the scents of each border so you don't accedentally cross one, and then we will head strait down the sand hollow for fighting practice. Maybe hunting if that appears more important at the moment." she said quietly before starting out into the territory. "Oh, and I don't want to have to look back to see if your keeping up." she added with a last glance back. If there was anyway for a new warrior to train it was probably using some training techniques learned from their mentor that worked. She still to this day didnt understand why she needed one mentor rather than learning by herself and asking others for guidance when it was needed. "Here we are." she said when they arrived at the sandy hollow. "As a kit, is there any hunting or fighting skills you may have picked up on? If so, please just show me what you know." she understood that normally apprentices didn't start of with as much knowlage as her, but maybe he would know some things from watching others.

thunderclan ❀ foxpaw ❀ apprenticeif she expects me to show her utmost respect, she's wrong. foxpaw thought to himself irritably, annoyed that the she-cat was already so demanding and trying to show superiority. at least, that's what it was like to him. "oh, and i don't want to have to look behind to see if you're keeping up." she had said, and it was that in particular that really pissed him off. annoyed, foxpaw didn't have to even think twice to use his kit-like energy to keep up with his mentor, striding alongside her without another word. the reddish-brown tabby turned to her when they arrived at their destination.
he listened as she asked for what he'd picked up during his kithood, if anything at all. of course i picked up stuff from the other apprentices, you stupid furball, he thought to himself, rolling his eyes. it's not like spottedpaw, that beebrain, doesn't draw attention to herself like there's no tomorrow. she practically begs for it! i only watched her because i want to be better than her when i'm a warrior.
foxpaw wordlessly dropped into a hunter's crouch, a move that he'd tried to master on his own time, crawling forwards and stalking a leaf that was lying innocently by itself in the clearing. he stopped a few taillengths away, then pounced, batting it up into the air and catching it, sinking his claws into the leaf.

Mistheart nodded, glad that Foxpaw listened to her. She thought for a moment. "Good form. Just always make sure your tail doesn't brush up against any bushes." she said. She paused for a moment. "We'll walk to each border, then we can start on fighting or hunting or whatever you are in the mood to learn. She said, starting off to the closest border corner. "Here we are. This is the border between us and Riverclan." she pointed with her tail, "And this is the shadowclan border." she paused for a moment for Foxpaw's benifet and then moved on, getting to the windclan border rather quickly. "This is Windlcan." she said, pausing for a moment once again before starting deeper into the territory. "Alright, we will learn whatever you want to work on now." she said. "I assume fighting because you already understand hunting pretty well."

thunderclan ❀ foxpaw ❀ apprenticefoxpaw only shrugged when she commented on her issue with his tail. he knew that already, but he was starting to doubt her. she probably wouldn't know a correct hunter's crouch if she saw one, he said to himself, grinning smugly. when she mentioned the borders, he felt a little disappointed. he wanted to get a move on already. he trailed after her to each border, starting to feel a little tired by the time they'd seen each one. they all smell gross, anyways. i'd know the borders if i ran into it because of how horrible all the other clans smell!
he looked up at her. "we can do whatever you want," she'd said, and he flicked his tail impatiently. "don't you have any plan for what we're going to be doing? at all?" he meowed, annoyed. "did you have any idea what you were going to take me out today? you're the mentor. not me. let's just start with the battle training."

Mistheart laughed. "Of coarse I have a plan, I have a plan once you chose fighting or hunting. Different cats have different preferances on what order to learn things in." she said. 'Well, he is listening. He still clearly doesn't trust me as a mentor, but we'll come to an understanding. If he listens he'll learn and if he doesn't he'll hold back his own training.' she told herself. "Fighting. Ok. Before we do any specific methods I want you to know never to go looking for a fight. Bad idea right there." she told him, turning towards a root sticking out of the ground rather that looking towards Foxpaw for the typical eye roll that would come after that statement. "That branch over there can be like a dummy. imagine it as a enemy cat standing there." she said, turning towards Foxpaw. "I am going to show you a move and then you can try to copy it." she told Foxpaw before approaching the branch, rolling quickly under it and scratching the bark underneath and quickly sliding out. "It gets you under to the belly and out before they can attack you. It gets easier on the scratch if you practice the roll a bit first." she said. "Try and then I'll give you tips if you have a problem."

thunderclan ❀ foxpaw ❀ apprentice"never go looking for a fight." foxpaw rolled his eyes, just as mistheart had predicted, ears twitching. does she think i'm a mouse-brain? i don't look for fights, everyone is just jealous that i'm so much better than them. his eyes gleamed with interest, though, as she began to demonstrate the first move that she would teach him, a smile creeping on his face. he watched her perform the move, memorizing each little detail without a second thought.
pssh. i can do this. the reddish-brown tom waited for his mentor to step back, then approached the root. he rolled under it, but decided he would practice that much a bit before lashing out his claws. dirt smeared onto his fur, and he would groom it out later, but for now, he didn't care. after coming out the other side, he rolled under it again, back to where he had started. dig your claws into the underbelly... that's perfect.
