HawkstarThis was a mistake. The more he tried to teach her, the more she tried to deflect it in order to keep herself lazy, saying that her older brother had taught her. He was confident he could try and prove himself as a great mentor, even with his bit of shyness, but... Ugh. The tabby leader roused himself out of his bed of moss, ears perked high on his head. The morning was still barely beginning, and he nodded at the other cats he passed on the way to the apprentices den. He pushed past the entrance and padded over to the pudgy apprentice, nuzzling Wrenpaw's back. He was a bit aware of the other apprentices sort of staring at him, but he was trying to ignore it in favor of waking up his apprentice. " Wrenpaw, wake up. It's time to train. Come on." He heard another apprentice pad out of the den behind him, calling out for her mentor, and wished that his own apprentice was like that. Oh well, at least Wrenpaw was a bit stronger than the other apprentices at first, made for better first training sessions. " Wren." Starclan, was she going to wake up soon...? pank

Wrenpaw was having a great dream. Mice raining from the sky and somehow landing without a bruise to mess up their flavor, no cats to bother her, a paw was poking into a side..
..why was a paw poking into her side?
Before she knew it, the dream was melting away and she was back in the stuffy heat of the apprentices' den. A too-familiar smell was at her nose, breaking through all the apprentices' scents. "Wrenpaw, wake up. It's time to train. Come on."
First, Wrenpaw refused to give a reply, hoping if she stayed in a curled-up ball long enough the Clan leader would pad away. But as Hawkstar kept prodding her, she finally gave a low grunt of annoyance. "Don't wanna go to training.. Five more minutes.." Her frustration liked to build upon itself especially early in the morning, and on previous days she had become very close to lashing out at anyone that tried to wake her up. Finally, she opened one eye and glanced up at Hawkstar. "Let's make a deal. You get me some breakfast, I'll train with you and maybe try a little harder than normal. Deal? Ehhhh?" A sleazy grin spread across Wrenpaw's face.

... Hawkstar was not going to be bribed with that. If things were to repeat, he would be seen as soft. He was sort of soft, but he wasn't going to be soft on his own apprentice. "I doubt that." Hawkstar said, pointing his head towards the entrance of the den. "However much effort you are going to put into today, I need you to get ready. Grab yourself a bite to eat and meet me outside the camp." Hawkstar padded outside the den, grabbed a mouse from the fresh kill pile, and stepped outside the bushes that was the edge of camp. Placing his mouse down, he started to chew on it, hoping that Wrenpaw came after him. If she didn't, maybe he should go back and... drag her? No, just probably just get her mouse... pank(sorry it's sort of short, out of most of my muse)
