☀ Nightbrook ☀
name: Nightkit- Nightpaw - Nightbrook
gender: male
age: 36
clan: riverclan
position: warrior
short description: Black fur with a white chest, a white line sort of like a scar coming up from his white neck fur, and piercing green eyes.
appearance:
Nightbrook looks like a well-groomed, slender cat, and is fit for swimming in the rivers of riverclan. He is tall, not as tall as his brother, but still tall. He has black fur, for the most part, groomed down all around his back and paws. He has a sploch of white on the back of his front right leg, which looks like a thin line among the black fur. On the bottom of said front right leg is a white paw, which is his only white paw. His face is sort of pointed, which includes his ears, and is where part of his white fur is. He has a partly white muzzle, with a black splotch underneath his nose and beneath his lip. A scar-like line goes up from his muzzle, inbetween his green eyes. His chest and part of his neck is pure white fur.
personality:
Nightbrook, contrary to his sophisticated, groomed down appearance, is very brash in his words towards others. He doesn't like to hold back his opinions, even when others don't ask for them. He's able to keep up his apearance, and is said not to risk much for the clan. He does have ambitions, but they are related to him growing stronger and more beautiful, not anything like 'make the clan better' or 'pay attention to others feelings'. He can't really control himself on the battlefield, since he loves to fight as well, so the only part he can really control is the ability to prevent others' deaths, since that is against the code.
He still does have standards about others interacting with him, and those who meet them have his trust immediately. However, once the trust is broken, he will never glance at you again. He is loyal to himself and his brother only, and that's probably the only reason he has stayed in Riverclan.
He pays a lot of attention to himself, noticing if even a small thing about his appearance is off. He doesn't really interact with others, probably because he's a bit... er, focused on himself.
history:
Nightbrook was born as Nightkit alongside Sootkit to two Riverclan cats, Cloudclaw and Scorchfrost. Both of the kits took more after their father in terms of appearances, having mostly black fur, with the only thing inherited from their mother being the patches of white fur on their skin. Nightkit was actually pretty shy as a kit, with Sootkit having to talk for the both of them. However, as the moons passed as a kit, Nightkit saw how the other warriors of the clan were beautifully groomed, and went to better himself in both appearances and in personality. He still loved his sibling, for both his kind words of speech and how he picked up talking to others easily, but Nightkit grew even more brash and focused on himself. This would never change through the moons of training, even after being yelled at by his mentor.
Nightkit and Sootkit became Nightpaw and Sootpaw at their six moons, and they still stuck together as apprentices, training together with moves, and teaching the other if the other mentor hadn't got to training them in that quite yet. Sootpaw was a kind trainer, and Nightpaw was a strict trainer, highlighting their future training of apprentices, if they get any. A few moons after their training began, their father got sick with a really bad cough, and it got to their mother, as well. A week later, their parents passed away, and they only had each other. Nightpaw was eager to make himself the best Riverclan fighter, to honor his mother's skill in fighting, as well. However, he had more skill in swimming, so he taught himself river fighting move more than land fighting, while his brother stuck with land fighting with a side of swimming fighting.
When his warrior name ceremony came to pass, alongside his brother, Nightpaw was named Nightbrook, for his good swimming ability, and Sootpaw was named Sootheart, for the loyalty he had to the code and his kind spirit. One moon after becoming warriors, someone suggested trying to take the sunningrocks back from Thunderclan, and Nightbrook agreed, eager for a battle and eager for a chance to show off his swimming. However, soon after they tried to claim it, Thunderclan cats attacked, including some apprentices.
Nightbrook decided to throw himself into the heat of battle, trying to slip any cats from thunderclan into the water and make them panic, like he was trained to do. He managed to scar a few other warriors when he realized that one of the cats he had shoved into the water hadn't surfaced. However, as he realized this, Riverclan was chased off the sunningrocks once more, and Nightbrook was more concerned with making himself presentable. When he thought on it later, he freaked out: did he kill an apprentice? Nobody seemed to notice, so he just brushed it off and tried not to feel too guilty about it. He, luckily, didn't go to the next fourtrees gathering: he probably would've slipped.
He still hunts and fights for the glory today, but sometimes, when trying to fight, he remembers that golden apprentice and how he must try harder to follow the warrior code... for his brother. He's a bit more snappy now because of it.
