☀ Duskfire ☀
NAME: Duskkit - Duskpaw - Duskfire
GENDER: female
AGE: 27 moons
CLAN: Shadowclan
POSITION: Warrior
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Duskfire is a dark tabby she-cat with pale brown eyes and white belly fur.
APPEARANCE:
At first glance, Duskfire doesn't stand out amongst her clanmates, rather her dark fur coloring just helps her to blend in. Duskfire is a lithe and gracefully built she-cat with long legs just made for running. Her sleek fur is dark with an even darker mackerel tabby fur pattern. Her two front paws are snow white and dainty. Duskfire's back paws have taller white stockings. Her muzzle, chest and belly are white. Unusually long whiskers sprout from her muzzle. There is a scar on Duskfire's face from an accident long ago. It makes opening her right eye all the way quite difficult.
PERSONALITY:
There are many words that can be used to describe Duskfire. She is impatient, snarky, and hard to get along with. Her first and foremost concern will always be herself, and her second is Shadowclan. Duskfire is loyal, but if a decision has to be made between herself and her clan, Duskfire would not hesitate to pick herself. While this may be frowned on by others, Duskfire couldn't care less because she doesn't care what other cats think.
Duskfire is not an easy cat to get along with, a conversation with Duskfire is like literally talking to fire. One never knows when they might get hurt. Duskfire will always make sure her thoughts are known, even if they come with opposition or unfavorable opinions. That being said, Duskfire does have a little sense in her head, and she can be reasonable. For example, she won't say anything at a gathering that might provoke a fight. Romantically, Duskfire is hard to understand. She doesn't seem to even like kits, but on the other paw it seems like she wants some of her own.
HISTORY:
Darkthorn was one of the strongest toms in the clan, and very handsome as well. So it was no wonder that he had many admirers. Darkthorn only had feelings for one she-cat, and that was Shadeleaf. Everyone already knew they were going to become mates, before they even made things official. Soon enough, Shadeleaf moved to the nursery where Duskkit and Spiderkit were born.
When they were born, Duskkit and Spiderkit were the only kits in the nursery, which led to them being spoiled rotten by the rest of their clanmates. This is almost entirely what caused Duskkit's self-centered personality to develop in the way that it did. Her brother Spiderkit was just as headstrong, and they fought often. Sometimes even used their claws. Shadeleaf always broke it up with stern words for both of her kits.
After six moons of being cooped up in the nursery with Spiderkit and the other kits that had been born during those first moons, Duskpaw and Spiderpaw were named apprentices. Duskpaw was given Ashenear as a mentor, one of the most strict she-cats in the clan. The hope was that Ashenear would straighten out Duskpaw's selfish behavior. Ashenear did help ease it, but Duskpaw was much to independent to allow anyone to change her personality.
As they trained, Spiderpaw and Duskpaw's relationship never quite mended, and they remained bitter rivals up until the day they were named Spidercloud and Duskfire. As warriors, they started to get along, although grudgingly. Shadeleaf and Darkthorn were proud of their first litter, but they were also proud of their second litter, born a few days prior to Spidercloud and Duskfire receiving their warrior names.
Duskfire showed great interest in interacting with her much younger siblings, and was just as proud as their parents when Snakepaw and Ivypaw were named apprentices. Duskfire was later asked to mentor an apprentice, but she refused. Duskfire didn't want to be counted on for teaching an apprentice. This is how her life has gone, looking out for her younger siblings, refusing apprentices and fueding with her littermate.
