☀ COYOTELEAP ☀
NAME: coyotekit > coyotepaw > coyoteleap
GENDER: male
AGE: 19 moons
CLAN: windclan
POSITION: warrior
SHORT DESCRIPTION: a dusty brownish-gray tabby tom with faded green eyes
APPEARANCE:
coyotespring is thin, but has strong, muscular shoulders and hind legs. his paws are large and he has thick, medium-length fur, which is a rather dusty mottled-ish color with fading stripes. his fur goes from a light brown to a sandy cream, especially around his muzzle and underbelly, and he has large, faded green eyes. his neck fur is especially fluffier than the rest.
he is not a very large cat, and actually a little bit smaller than most. he will be a little larger than a typical apprentice once he is a warrior, but his fluffy fur will give him a larger appearance. his tail is rather short and plumy, and his fur is often dirtied by the windclan terrain, though its hard to notice with his matching fur color. he has a long body and can fit into rabbit burrows with ease.
coyoteleap has scars coating his muzzle, and a tattered left ear from a fight with a badger late in his apprenticeship.

PERSONALITY:
loud. coyoteleap doesn't actively seek out attention, but he does like to be the center of it. he is a rather loud tom, though unintentionally, be his actions or his speaking voice, his energy is loud.
ambitious. while most might think ambition is a good thing, coyoteleap can tend to take it to the extremes. when he sets a goal, he intends on completing it, no matter how complex or difficult it might prove to be.
confident. coyoteleap is confident, but not in the arrogant way - more in the innocent way, and he tries to spread this around, too, encouraging other cats to be confident in themselves.
irritable. coyoteleap is rather easy to annoy/frustrate, and that doesn't stop him from picking a fight. he likes to taunt cats from other clans across the border and try to lure them into an argument.
flirtatious. with his confidence, coyoteleap has no problem flirting with others. he's about as pan as one can get, so he'll flirt with anyone he can get his little paws on.
daring/troublesome. coyoteleap is constantly searching for adventure, for something to do. there's no stopping this ambitious tom, and he's willing to do almost anything for a dare. he's a troublemaker at heart.
family. family is of great importance to coyoteleap, and he holds it close to his heart. he would like to have a family of his own some day, and plans on being the best father he can be.
athletic. to be expected of any warrior, but coyoteleap takes his fitness and health seriously. he loves running down the hills of windclan territory and chasing rabbits - or nothing, so long as he is exercising.

HISTORY:
coyotekit was born to two windclan warriors, but had three parents. two mothers who raised him, and his biological father who was generous enough to help the two she-cats out with having the kits they so desired. his mothers were two she-cats named heronwing, a white she-cat with bright green eyes, and burrpelt, a fuzzy brown and white she-cat with fur that stuck out in different directions and yellow eyes. his father was a grayish-brown and white tom named dustcloud, with faded green eyes like his own. he was born with a sister, lavenderkit, a pale gray and white she-cat with yellow eyes. the two were raised by heronwing and burrpelt, but they were also able to spend time with their biological father if they so pleased. coyotekit adored each one of his parents and split up his time as a kit bonding with all three of them, especially his father, dustcloud. he thought it was so kind of him to help heronwing and burrpelt have a litter despite the circumstances.
when coyotekit and lavenderkit became apprentices, he was to be mentored by a cat named garlicnose. they were a distant relative of his mother, heronwing - his grandmother's sibling, to be precise. garlicnose was a kind cat to coyotepaw, but they didn't have enough patience to handle with spontaneous ideas and all-over-the-place personality. eventually, garlicnose asked to resign, claiming that they just couldn't train him, and in the same moment, asked to retire. garlicnose was thus sent to the elder's den. they were rather apologetic to coyotepaw, but he didn't understand why they couldn't just train him. in garlicnose's place, coyotepaw was reassigned to a she-cat named chaffinchsong. chaffinchsong was much stricter than garlicnose, and was almost hostile to coyotepaw. she didn't have the right kind of patience for him, either, but she did have a militant attitude and was determined to put him in his place. though she was a difficult mentor, coyotepaw made training with her a game, a goal - he would be the best warrior ever if he made it through training with her. he was often competing with his sister, lavenderpaw, determined to prove himself a worthy apprentice to chaffinchsong. while he wasn't any bit doubtful of his ability, he sought her approval, as well as his parents. when he wasn't training with chaffinchsong, he was adventuring windclan territory with dustcloud, and joining his mothers on hunting trips and rebuilding the walls to dens. he adored patrolling with his sister.
rather late in his apprenticeship, he was on a patrol with a friend of his that he had made earlier in his moons, an apprentice named wrenpaw. wrenpaw was three moons younger to coyotepaw's ten, and still blooming into her apprenticeship. he was also on patrol with his mentor, chaffinchsong, and another warrior. it was an unfortunate event that found them in the midst of badger territory. the creature had came lumbering out of its den and found the cats straying near the entrance, unaware of its presence. it had suddenly attacked them, and the four cats fought hard. coyotepaw earned scars that day - his muzzle became littered with scratches, and his left ear torn. that day, wrenpaw died, and coyotepaw was horrified to find that he couldn't save his friend. chaffinchsong and the other warrior managed to chase the badger away, but they returned to camp with heavy hearts. he spent a while with his parents seeking comfort, needing the tenderness they'd raised him with.
moons later came the time for coyotepaw and lavenderpaw to be named warriors. coyotepaw became coyoteleap, for his speed. the tom was overjoyed and prideful, loving his newly given freedom. now, coyoteleap is a young warrior of windclan, ready to take on anything that comes at him.
