Minteh Freshness Mistheart got out of her nest and headed over to the freashkill pile, picking out a small mouse. She wasn't sure she could even eat a big oone, but a small mouse would fill her up nicely so that she could focus on her hunt rather than an overfilled stomache later on in the day. She sat on a rock in the shade and took a small bite of the mouse. She had learned over the year that eating slowly would help you stay full for longer, plus you get more of the wonderful tasste of mouse. She smiled slightly, her eyes wandering the camp as she took another bite. A few cats were out, but not many, Some kits played in front of the nursery. She watched them play happily, with out a care in the world. It was a life she had never had a chance t enjoy growing up as a kittypet and all. She never had other cats to play with, and had to learn quick when she was kicked out by the twolegs. she took another bite of her mouse, expelling such thoughts from her mind. Thinking of them would only bring more misery and pain than she needed. Rather she listened to the birds singing merrily in the trees of the forest.

SmokestormThe dawn light filtered into the warriors' den, warming the grey fur as the light slowly brightened. One pale yellow eye opened before the grey form unfurled and stretched in it's nest. The eye closed again as the cat yawned, but then it opened, along with the matching one, as the grey feline stood up, stretching as he went. When he felt good enough, he sat back onto his nest and cleaned his fur, getting the stray moss off and settling down the grey hairs. Feeling presentable, the tom stood up and padded over sleeping bodies before reaching the den's entrance. Ducking his head, the tall tom slipped out of the den and into the growing sunlight.
A quick glance around told him not many cats were out and about this morning. Those pale yellow-green eyes landed on a fluffy white she-cat whose gaze was focused on playing kits as she ate a mouse. The tall, grey warrior quickly padded over to the fresh-kill pile and snagged a vole before heading over on nearly silent paws to the she-cat. "Mind if I join you sweetheart." Smokestorm spoke around the vole, making it seem more as a statement than a question. And before she even answered, he was settling down next to her. "It's a beautiful day out, though not as gorgeous as you my dear." Smokestorm purred, his pale yellow eyes shining as he took a bite of his vole. After swallowing, he continued on. "Would you mind joining me for a hunt after we are done eating, my Snow Fuff?"

Mistheart
Mistheart glanced up from the kits as another warrior approached. "Oh, yeah, sure, go ahead and sit." she muttered, a bit startled by the warrior's approach. She had been listening to everything and normally would have heard him approaching, even if watching the kits at the same time. She must have been having an off day. "It is quite a nice morning." she agreed, though in her opinion it would just bring another hot, greenleaf day. Not as gorgeous as me? she asked herself, slightly confused at the compliment but shrugging it off. To her the morning was one of the most beautiful things in the world. She tuned in to what he was saying again to hear a request to go on a hunt. She completely tensed up. A hunt is fine, but don't call me snow fluff." she growled. If anything got on her nerve it was other cats calling her fluff or fluff ball or softie, or anything typically used to tease her for being born a kitty pet. She smiled as she relaxed. B-but a hunt would be fine. I was planing on going on one after eating anyway."

SmokestormThe grey tom sighed. "a hunt is fine, but don't call me snow fluff." Why did this always have to happen. He worked hard on his pet names for each she-cat an- Snowflake! Yes that would be what he called her from now on, no matter how much she told him not to use it. Smokestorm grinned at his thoughts, though one might have thought he was grinning because of her accepting his "request" to go hunting with him. Not a request. Definitely not. It might have sounded like one, but it really pretty much wasn't. If she had said no he probably would have followed her around, flirting with her until she told him he could hunt with her so long as he shut up. It's happened on more than one occasion with other she-cats.
His mind went back on her acceptance. "b-but a hunt would be fine. i was planing on going on one after eating anyway." He grinned wider and quickly gobbled his vole down, even the fur and bones that others didn't seem to like to eat. "Perfection! We'll start as soon as you finish. Where would you like to go Snowflake?" His tail lashed back and forth in anticipation as he ran through the good hunting spots in his mind. "And then we can take a nap in the sun afterward. Always have to reward gorgeous felines like you after a good hunt and a warm nap is the perfect way to go!" Smokestorm said with a wink and a sly smile.

(oh, I wasn't sure if you meant fluff or puff so i decided to say fluff.)
Mistheart nodded as she finnished chewing a last bite of her mouse. At lest Snowflake wasn't Snow Puff, she deemed. "I rarely ask myself where to hunt, I just walk around until I find prey." she shrugged. "So where ever you want." 'And then a nap in the sun.' she heard him say and decided to confront that sometime later.

Smokestorm"Hmmm." His tail stopped moving and then the tip twitch right before he spoke. "How about Tallpines? It's certainly been a while since I've been there. And it's always a great place to hunt. It might be a bit close to the twoleg's territory but I'm sure we can find a good spot to take a nap afterwards." The tall grey tom jumped to his paws. "Ladies first, as always when with a perfect gentleman. Especially the ones that are divine as yourself, Snowflake." Smokestorm motioned with his tail for her to pad ahead of him out of camp, his whiskers twitching in a slight breeze. The tom glanced around camp again. While they had been chit chatting, the camp had become more alive with movement as more cats woke up. He wanted to be out already so he would have more time for a nap. And of course, so he could be alone with a pretty she-cat, but mostly for the nap.

(Yeah, sorry for the short posts so far. I get so obsessed that I'll forget if I don't reply right away, so I reply right away regardless of the time I have to post.)
Mistheart nodded thoughtfully. Tallpines ussually had plenty of prey, esspecially this time of year. "Yeah, tallpines would be a good place to hunt. I haven't been there in a while either." she said with a smile. "As to being close to the twoleg area, I was at the treecut place just the other day, so I think it should be fine." "And I am assuming you use that one with every she-cat that you cross paths with. She replied as she walked out of camp. "I'll race you there." she said, starting in a slow trot, deciding to run as soon as Smokestorm started racing. No need for her to have that much of a head start.

Smokestorm"i was at the treecut place just the other day, so i think it should be fine." Smokestorm nodded at that. "Yeah, we just have to be careful in case a twoleg comes along. They do tend to like the warmer weather and often stray into our territory." Like most clan cats, he wasn't fond of twolegs and would hate to think of what would happen if anyone were to get caught by them. He'd been lost in thought but jerked back to attention when she spoke again. The grey tom grinned flirtatiously with her. "Of course I do Snowflake. Who can't resist a nice, warm, nap with a handsome tom like me?" He followed her out of camp. Once past the entrance, he moved up so he was walking alongside her flank.
"i'll race you there." Mistheart said just before starting off at a trot. He wasn't quite a lazy tom, more carefree to do what he wanted and that often happened to be sleeping when he could be doing something productive for the clan, so he only debated it for a moment or two. "You call that racing? Sweetheart, this is racing." The tall tom leaped forward and quickly passed her with long strides, though he wasn't going full out. He didn't want to loose her. He would rather stick next to her and maybe let her win by a nose once she actually started to run. Smokestorm was ready for when she would start to actually race him. With his long legs, he could eat up the ground easily, like a Windclan cat, but he was stockier than a cat that lives on the moor, so he was slower than them.

Mistheart nodded grimly. "That is one of the things I hate most about them, their love of warm weather." she muttered to herself. She simply hated those two-legs, some of them were simply torcherous to their kitty-pets. She smiled as she hopped back into reality just in time for Smokestorm to reply. "Hmm... I think I could name one or two. Or maybe twenty." she rolled her eyes.
Mistheart smiled when he started running along too. "No, I call this running." she said as she took off. Though he had londer strides, she was smaller and had less weight to carry. It didn't count for much but helped a little. She was catching up to slowly though, and instead jumped up t a thick, low branch of a tree, jumping from branch to branch faster than she had been running."I wouldn't want you to give me a head start, now would I?"

Smokestorm Smokestorm looked up at her when she left the ground to run in the trees. He grinned at the challenge and noticed she was running faster from branch to branch than from when she was running on the ground. The tall warrior laughed and put on more speed, stayed right behind her even though he had to maneuver around trees and over bushes. Before long they were near the tallpines and a prey scent caught his attention. They weren't even there yet, but Smokestorm turned slightly and pounced on top of a mouse, breaking it's back and killing it. The grey tom lifted his head, the body of the mouse danging from his maw as he looked towards the tallpines. She probably got there without him.
He started trotting and finally came up to their destination. "You may have won but I caught the first piece of prey." He purred out after setting the mouse down. His yellow gaze fell upon the snow white she-cat. "That was a good race. We should do that again sometime." He kept his voice just loud enough so she could hear him but not so loud that it would scare away any prey nearby. The tall grey tom padded up to a bush and dug out a hollow underneath it before setting the fresh kill down and then pushing a few branches over the opening to hide it from other creatures. "Hmmm. I'm in the mood to catch a bird. What about you Snowflake?"

Mistheart laughed. "We both know that you would have won anyway." she said, "Just admit it." Her eyes wandered as she sat, perched on one of the trees. "Yeah, It was great." she agreed, gazing at a rather large dove landing. "that dove over there looks like a fun catch."[/b she said as she started off in a quiet trott. She nodded as they reached the dove. "Defiantly a big one." she mouthed as she got as close as she dared. The dove was abnormally large, and would for sure put up a struggle.

Smokestorm Smokestorm shrugged. "Maybe. You were doing pretty well up in those trees. I guess we won't truly know who would win until the next race." He chuckled and listened to her. He noticed her looking in the trees and followed her gaze. Smokestorm's gaze hit the large dove and his upper lip curled up. His tail started to lash as his pale yellow eyes stayed on the bird. Oh how he hated doves. They were so annoying and they often seemed to follow him. Well, it was probably just wherever he went he saw one. They always seemed to coo at him and whereas it would be nice when a she-cat coos at him, he could just tell that the white and soft grey birds were mocking him. He would happily catch the dove.
"that dove over there looks like a fun catch." His ears twitched when Mistheart spoke. He growled quietly at the bird and followed her as she came closer to their prey. It really was a lot larger than a normal dove. He was actually amazed by how large it was. He knew their feathers were soft and if they caught it, it would do nicely for both a meal and bedding. He glanced over at Mistheart right as she mouthed some words. Definitely a big one. She said and he nodded in agreement. He motioned with his head for her to climb into the tree opposite the dove and pointed with his tail to a branch above the dove. He would have fun scaring it into flight...and into her claws. The tall grey tom manuevered to the backside of the tree that the dove was in and waited for Mistheart to get situated.

Mistheart nodded as she made her way up the tree, quickly as she dare without scaring the dove. She sat carefully above the dove and watched as Smokestorm positioned himself on the opposite side of the dove. She carefully moved to the branch bellow her as she saw that she had climbed too high and the dove would fly right over her. She made sure she was positioned properly before nodding her head to Smokestorm. With birds it was harder to sccare them properly because they flew as well as ran, so it was more to consider, ut Mistheart was confident that it would be caught.
She sat carefully and waited for the dove, muscles ready for her paws to lash out.

Smokestorm Smokestorm waited until he saw that Mistheart was ready. She nodded to him and he jumped onto the tree and started to climb it as quietly as he could. If he scared it too early, it could go in a different direction. He paused when he thought he was the right height and glanced around the tree, looking for the bird. He'd been right, he was at the right level. The tall grey tom climbed onto a branch on the backside of the tree, a spot where the dove couldn't see him. There was a branch up higher on the side that he could go onto before getting to the branch the bird was on. It was a little lower than that branch and it would work perfectly so the bird would fly upwards and out, right into Mistheart's awaiting claws.
The grey warrior, moved to the branch on the side, careful to keep close to the trunk as he looked to see if the bird was looking away. It was. Perfect. Smokestorm sucked in a deep breath, crouched down, and let loose, yowling loudly at the bird. The dove was frightened at the noise and when the large tom jumped onto the branch it was on. It spread it's grey wings and flapped, trying to get away from the predator. It was too shocked to notice that the white thing above it wasn't a cloud, but rather a cat. When it did, it tried to maneuver away, but it had gotten too close to the white cat.
